on the other side, mingled into expensive whisky and maduro smoke, poker chips trickle and Pink Floyd – he sits in the darkness, clenching his bladder and thinking about all the tomorrows to come; string cheese and dirty table tops, the reading lamp and mulch all around – the earlier beers kick in and he smiles; the best of them all, across the pond, across all worlds and then some, the dimmed inside light calls for happiness and a life ahead; early February and June temperatures, the silent neighborhood and the new Peloton, the green hoodie and his bff vibes, the dream come true entangled in the Palestine genocide, the three flags out there and the black pickup truck, the birds in the morning and the frozen hare – love over all and then some, zigzagging through the past and hoping, understanding the future; here, you, me, the emptiness filled and the words unspoken; no more searching, no more uncertainty, ever again; i love you, along and within the lines; always, forever.
